Child Care Programs

Infant Care

Our infant room can hold up to eight infants at any time and we maintain a 4:1 ratio of infants to adults. Our teachers in this classroom have completed all necessary training to ensure the best care for your little one. Our entire staff is also CPR and AED certified.

Our teachers actively engage with children, and when they have downtime, they work on finishing paperwork and cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment. When you drop off your infant, you’ll be asked to fill out a form with information to help our teachers care for them throughout the day. Using our Brightwheel app, parents receive real-time updates summarizing their child’s day, including diaper changes, meal times, bottles fed, etc.

Toddler Program

The toddler room at our location can hold up to 8 toddlers at a time. Like the infant room, we maintain a 4:1 ratio of children to adults, and teachers in this room have completed all necessary training. They develop a productive lesson plan to guide your child through a fun, exciting, and fruitful week. They will take pictures of weekly activities and post them on their wall and the door. At the end of the week, parents are permitted to take the pictures home.

You can be certain that your child’s basic needs will be met. Parents receive real-time updates about their child’s day through the Brightwheel app. An outdoor playground is also available for children under 2.

Two-Year-Old Program

This room can hold up to 12 children at a time with a 6:1 child to adult ratio. The classroom is divided into several interest areas. At free play times, each child is assigned to play in one interest area to encourage independence. A daily schedule is available that two-year-olds will follow, which include their outdoor times, snacks, and meal times.

Using the Brightwheel app, parents receive real-time updates about their child’s day. Each week, the teacher will take pictures of the children playing and participating in activities to be given to the parents at the week’s end. A playground is also available for all children over 2.

Preschool Classroom

Holding up to 18 children with a 10:1 child to teacher ratio, this room is used to serve 3-year-olds and younger 4-year-olds. Much like the 2-year-old room, this classroom is divided into several interest areas, and teachers and children follow a daily schedule. Children are encouraged to be independent during their free time, pursuing their own interests as the teacher observes.

Group times and projects are also covered in this room under close teacher supervision. Everyday skills are taught and used all day. In addition to playing in the outside play area, students take walks around the facility to learn about their outdoor surroundings. The picture policy for this room is the same as the rooms for younger children. Using the Brightwheel app, parents receive real-time updates about their child’s day.

School Age Classroom

Our school age classroom can hold up to 15 children at a time with a 12:1 student to teacher ratio. This room serves older 4-year-olds and any older students. A daily schedule is followed by teachers and students, and children are encouraged to engage in independent play during their free time as the teacher observes.

We also complete teacher-supervised group times and project work. Everyday skills are taught and used all day. The outside play and photo policies for this program are the same as they are in our other classrooms. Parents receive real-time updates about their child’s day through the Brightwheel app. Children in this age group also enjoy field trips during our summer program.

“I get updates and pictures from them live throughout the day. This puts me at ease knowing my child is doing okay while I am working. If you are considering putting your child in daycare, you have to call Gerber!”
